What Is Your Purpose?

When you wake up and your feet hit the floor, a new day begins. It is important to have a purpose. God gives us another day to live for a reason. The reality is that we engage in a battle every day.

In order to win, we have to have a purpose.

If you go about your day with no purpose, it can be a waste of time. Instead, God calls us to live with a purpose…In other words, we are called to live intentionally.

What Is Your Purpose?

This can sometimes be a hard question to answer. The ultimate purpose for every Christian should be to glory God and to make Him known to others. The way we can do this effectively is by living intentionally. Wherever God places us, we should be ambassadors for Him.

“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

-2 Corinthians 5:20

God has placed you where you are for a reason. He desires for us to live intentionally where He places us. Unfortunately, it is easy to forget to always live intentionally. It is easy to get “caught in the moment” of what we are doing. This distorts our vision to be able to see our purpose.

So what is your purpose? Are you doing everything you can to live intentionally?

Brandon, i know my purpose. – winning souls and making disciples. It’s why I love helping others live intentionally. I am still a work in progress but am glad God opened my eyes to my reason for life.

That’s a great goal and also something that God calls us all to. The important thing to make that goal happen is to establish smaller goals that ultimately lead you to it.
So you have to ask the question: “What can I do today to amplify God’s kingdom?”

Absolutely. Purpose births vision and vision births goals. Daily subgoals can answer to that great question “what can i do today to amplify God’s kingdom” .

I believe I have a couple of different purposes for different parts of my life.

    1. To lead others well. To show them their skills, value, etc.
    2. To love my wife.
    3. To love my God with all my heart, soul, and mind.

Those three points are great! Thanks for sharing!

Very good post, very moving. If we all really grasped that we are ambassadors for Christ, maybe the Body of Christ would act more responsibility in this world. We each have a part to play, we are all special.

first of all great post. im very moved by  it. everyone needs to find there purpose that way they feel important to the world and want to be someone. They need to figure out what God has called them to do and not what people view them as.

Thanks for commenting! Finding your purpose is key. It is also important to note that God can use us in many different ways. For this reason, it is necessary to keep our focus on Him to direct us.
