Wanna Win An Amazon Giftcard?

Over the past few weeks, my site has hit a plateau. I seem to have an engaging group of subscribers; however, the subscriber growth has stopped. There has not been a single new subscriber in over two months!

I certainly do not want to hit a plateau and stay there! Instead, I have decided to run a little contest to potentially engage a better audience here on the website. I am going to need your help though…

For the contest, I will be giving away an amazon gift card!

I will decide on how much to give based on the response of the giveaway.

How Do I Win?

All you have to do to win is subscribe to the website through email. You can do so by clicking here!

There is also a nice widget on the right sidebar that allows you to subscribe as well. It doesn’t matter which method you choose…it is the same newsletter.

What Will I Get When I Subscribe?

You will receive the blogs posts directly to your email inbox. I typically post 2-3 times per week, so your inbox will not get flooded…I promise!

Occasionally, I will send out special things through the newsletter that only the subscribers can see. You can reply directly to the newsletter emails, and it will go to my personal email account. You can get in touch me fast!

Once there are a good amount of subscribers, I will do special giveaways just for the subscribers. It could get awesome!

    I too have hit a plateau. Last month I did a book give away in my Newsletter for subscribers. I plan on giving away a book each quarter. I hope that helps.
    I’ve also got a few give aways planned for my blog. The only other thing I know to do is get a Facebook page but I’m not sure I have the time to dedicate to it.

    I keep telling myself it’s because of summer that things have slowed down, guess this fall will test my theory :)

      I hope so. It hasn’t gotten any response yet, but I will keep it going for about a week or so. I am going to promote it on twitter as well. My twitter has been taking off, but the blog has been really slow! I have hit an all-time low recently that I need to get away from.

        Yeah, that’s never a good thing.

        I’m not sure if something is wrong with your site setup or what but I noticed that your site isn’t showing in Google spider crawls. If you take a look at http://www.smart-it-consulting.com/internet/google/googlebot-spoofer/view.htm?cBotName=Googlebot-2.1&cUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brandongilliland.com

        You get a page that shows some text but not your page. It might be worth looking into to see if there’s a bigger, underlying issue.

            It looks similar but it’s not the same. Mine had an error. Yours says something about moving.

            What should happen is your page should be displayed just as if you went to your site. That’s not happening and it looks like your site isn’t being indexed by Google.

          I just submitted my site to Google Webmaster. Come to find out, I was never on it! Hopefully, things will start to change. I have a feeling that I have probably not done a lot of things that my website needs.

          For instance, do I have to download a site map file? I have the plugin for it, but do I have to have a file of it on my computer?

          Maybe some of these things are hurting me…

          Hi Joe, is that site open for anyone to check their google crawl stats? Followed the link but it took me to Brandon’s statistics. I know my site’s been superslow since i moved from blogger – checked it on webmaster. I thought it was slow summer months :) . Webmaster doesn’t show any errors, just very ‘low and plateaued’ crawling.

            It’s available to anybody Ngina. If you take a look at the web address, it has Brandon’s domain at the end. Change it to yours and you’ll see the results. Looks like your site has the same issue.

            I’m having the same problem…as well as other bloggers. I have been hearing a common thing from everyone recently: decreasing traffic. It is definitely something to keep an eye on.
            Is this the start of blogging becoming extinct?
