The Fourth Fisherman by Joe Kissack

“The Fourth Fisherman” is a book about changed lives. The author, Joe Kissack, starts off the book by explaining the Hollywood life that he was living. Joe tells that he was caught up in materialism, and it was destroying his life. After the first few chapters, the book switches to a story of Mexican fisherman. These fisherman were fishing one day, and they suddenly got caught in the middle of a fierce storm. The storm violently tossed the boat and destroyed most of the supplies. It turned out that these fisherman got stranded for close to a year at sea. The only source of food ended up being some sea turtles.

The book shifts between these two stories. It is neat because it brings the story to life. There are essentially two stories involved in this book, but they tie together at the end. When the story of the fisherman became publicized after their rescue close to a year later, Joe Kissack wanted to meet the fisherman that were rescued. He shares the obstacles that he faced through trying to find them. The story and adventure associated with these fisherman changed Joe’s life.

This book is very interesting! I would highly recommend picking up a copy!
