Month in Review: June 2012

June was an interesting month for me. Lots of things were going on for me personally. I was not able to post as much as I had originally intended for the month because of everything happening.

Tons of activities at church, work, and college decisions have consumed a lot of my time. One of the big projects that has been going on this month is my family’s preparation to move. In fact, we are moving things over into our new house as many of you are reading this post! I’m personally excited about it. It will be a major change.

Although I did not publish as many posts this month, the comments increased. The engagement level seemed to be higher this month…something that I am thankful for. Page views were slower than normal, but the engagement was higher. On that note, it is time to announce the top commenters of the month of June!

Congrats on your month!  My blog did fairly well this month nearly equaling the traffic of last month’s record.  My top post was a guest post by Kevin Haggerty titled Learning to Count to Five.  Here’s the link:  http://www.jonstolpe.com/2012/06/12/learning-to-count-to-five/

You gotta love when your guests posts are the top posts of the month!

I sure do!  I love guest bloggers, and I love the opportunity to guest post.

I’ve got to guest post more. I have only done about 3 since January. And you are welcome to guest post here anytime. In fact, I’m looking for guest posters towards the end of July because that’s the week I head out to Virginia on a missions trip.
I’ll make a formal announcement in a few weeks.

So happy to win! Thanks so much!

Glad you had a good month. Mine was pretty amazing, I’m so encouraged by all the conversations taking place each Monday on my series, “The Cost of Discipleship”. God really is great!

That’s good to hear. I thought that your newsletter came off to a good start. Has it brought more engagement and traffic for your site?

Can’t really tell yet but I’m encouraged. I’m publishing my next edition tomorrow. I really hope people like it and spread the word. I’m enjoying doing it and so far people seem to like it. But I think it’s too early to know if it’s generating more traffic or followers.

My month wasn’t that great. Saw a big decrease in unique visitors. That hit towards the end of the month so I’m guessing it may have to do with the upcoming holiday. Hoping to see it increase next month.

Had two pages that did great, my What Can 20 Seconds of Insane Courage Do For You? and my interview with Dan Miller - jmlalonde.com/leadership-insights-interview-with-dan-miller

It happens. I have noticed a traffic decrease as well on my site and others. I have talked with other more successful bloggers than I, and they have said that the summer is usually slower.
