Kristian Stanfill Worship Concert

This past weekend, I had the chance to go to a Kristian Stanfill concert. He was playing at a church in Jacksonville, Florida. I was really excited to go, but I was even more amazed when I got to the concert. I have been a fan of his music and how he promotes the name of Jesus for many years, but I have never had the chance to see him in concert.

The energy level and whole worship experience was awesome! It has been awhile since I was able to worship God with excitement and energy. Recently, certain aspects of worship have been on my heart and mind lately. The closer I walk with God, the more I realize that He wants us to be excited for Him. The tag at the end of one of the songs Kristian sang  talked about how we are to be a light to the world. Others will never see that light if it is not burning brightly.

I sometimes feel that worship is way too “serious”. In other words, it is too “religious”. God desires for us to be authentic and transparent when we come before Him in worship. When that happens, you can’t help but get excited for Jesus.

I got the chance to talk with Kristian after the concert for a little while…I had a blast!

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light”

-Ephesians 5:8

Yeah, it was so cool! Thanks! I will be sharing more posts on worship because I’ve got some really cool stuff going on lately!

Man that sounds like fun! I haven’t been to a Christian concert in far too long. In fact, my last concert was when my wife & I went to see the BSB/NKOTB concert when she was pregnant… #confessions

Ah man! How close are you to Los Angeles or San Diego? They have big Christian concerts out there all the time… They are free many times!
Check out Phil Wickham. He is local to San Diego, and he plays out there all the time. I’ve seen him in concert twice and have met him. Really nice guy!

I kept meaning to come back to this, but literally the following Saturday after this post– Phil Wickham did a free concert at one of the big churches my wife and I have been considering attending… I had to miss it because I already had plans. Doh!

Which church was it? That’s cool that you’re thinking about attending a new church! Phil is actually coming to Jacksonville FL next Thursday. I’m planning on going to it! This will be the 3rd time I have seen him live, but I’m sure he will be better this time with all the new songs! I’m really looking forward to it.

The church is called “Real Life Church” and it’s in Santa Clarita. A bit of a drive for us, but we have a lot of friends who are already there. It’s a beautiful building– with their own coffee shop and theatre/stadium style seating in the main sanctuary. Very cool place.

Just looked at some pictures of it online. It looks like a really cool church! Having that coffee is always a plus! :) That’s cool that you have been going to it though. A good church is something that every Christian needs.
I attend a church called Turning Point at Calvary in Saint Augustine. It is a great church!
