How Intentional Are You About Amplifying God’s Kingdom?
Posted on: October 23, 2012, by : Brandon Gilliland

Something that I have been focusing on in my life recently is being intentional. It is easy to go through life doing what God wants you to do, but not being intentional about reaching others.

The purpose of this blog and really everything I strive to do is to “Amplify God’s Kingdom”. As Christ followers, we should desire to radically change the kingdom of God.

If you are going to amplify God’s kingdom, you have to be intentional.

  • Pray for others
  • Look for opportunities others are not willing see
  • Challenge yourself and others
  • Get involved in things that amplify God’s kingdom

In order to make an impact in the kingdom of God, you have to make it a priority. In other words, it has to be intentional.

“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

-Colossians 3:2

We can always grow in this area of our Christian life. It is easy to forget to be intentional sometimes.

May we all strive to become better “amplifiers” of God’s kingdom!

What are some ways you can be more intentional? Let’s add some more ideas to the list!

PS-I would like to post another follow-up blog to this one based on the responses…

  • One thing God has laid on my heart recently is being intentional about learning His word…not just reading it, but learning it. Acting upon it. Taking it as truth and not adding/subtracting my own interpretations to suite my needs.
I don’t want to just “study” God, I want to KNOW God!
I want to be in the game and not sitting on the side lines studying the plays.

    • That’s a great point! Simply reading God’s word does not constitute a solid devotional time. Thanks for sharing!

      • I know! I can read a map all day long and still not be able to get to a destination. I have to actually engage in studying the route, not just casually glance over the map.

  • I think one of the biggest things we can do is to start serving others. Show them Jesus through our actions and attitude. Great post.

    • Definitely! It starts by action. Words mean nothing if they are not backed up by actions.
